POSTER MUSEUM IN WILANÓW

Poster Museum in Wilanów, opened in 1968, was the world’s first poster museum. It has a collection of over 54 thousand works, including posters by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhole, Stasys Eidrigevicius. It is a division of the National Museum in Warsaw.

The International Poster Biennale was organised for the first time in 1966 and it was the world’s first bienalle dedicated solely to the poster art. Since 1968, the Poster Museum in Wilanów has been holding the Biennale. The competition accompanying the exhibition has won great renown among artists, which is reflected in the nickname “Olimpiada Plakatu” (Olympics of Poster Art). The group of the competition winners features such famous names as, among others: Waldemar Świerzy, Henryk Tomaszewski, Andy Warhol.

SZUSTOW. KULTURA I KOMUNIKACJA is responsible for the development and implementation of the communication strategy for the 25th International Poster Biennale.
