STEFAN KURYŁOWICZ FOUNDATION

Stefan Kuryłowicz Foundation is concerned with promotion and support of bold, yet responsible architectural designs. The patron of the Foundation, Professor Stefan Kuryłowicz, believed that urban and architectural order was achievable by way of wise cooperation between professionals of various fields. The Stefan Kuryłowicz Award, presented in two categories — TEORIA (Theory) and PRAKTYKA (Practice) — is a particular form of fulfilling the Foundation’s aspirations.

The TEORIA Competition is a programme addressed to young architects for the best piece of writing on the relations between architecture and culture, which will be published in the bilingual publishing series “Architektura Kultury Kultura Architektury” (Culture’s Architecture Architecture’s Culture).

The PRAKTYKA Scholarship is a six-month programme for young architects, whose winner will be provided with financial and subject-related support to develop his or her ideas for an improvement to a selected public space.

SZUSTOW. KULTURA I KOMUNIKACJA is responsible for the development and implementation of the communication strategy for TEORIA and PRAKTYKA competitions in 2015 and 2016.
